Dillwyn Smith studied painting at Canterbury College of Art and then at the Royal College of Art where he gained an M.A. His graduation show won the prestigious Barclays Award. Subsequently he has had many one man exhibitions in the UK and abroad.
Smith’s focus is on the energy, sensitivity and dialogue in the human being. His most recent exhibition The Art of Intention incorporated paintings, film, bespoke clothes, kirlian drawings and incorporated ‘Intention’ a choreographed work made with dancer Noel Wallace and performed there. Dillwyn has also, for many years, been a visiting artist and lecturer at the National Gallery, London.
